Xiaomi recently announced that their new device is ready for market, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1, it has a ton of features with high-end specs. Can it compete with high-end devices on the market today? Let us all find out.
The Poco F1 is not your average mid-range device, one it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, the same one on your high-end range smartphones. A 6 or 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage, plus a microSD expandable storage.
One of the variants of the said device has Kevlar Aramid fiber from DuPont USA, this is the same material being used for bulletproof vest. This adds aggressiveness to the device while offering added protection to scratches and also being water resistant.
The standard variants are using poly-carbonate uni-bodies with 7-layers color processing. This adds toughness and reinforced internal frame to the body of the said device.
Pocophone created a new UI software called MIUI for POCO. It is based on MIUI but they added a couple of tweaks to make it better, for example a dedicated launcher, a Turbocharged Engine, which boost startups and making it more responsive. Pocophone also promised a security update support for POCO F1.
Longer gaming sessions or heavy multitasking won’t even emit heat for this device, Pocophone uses liquied cooling system called LiquidCool. They inserted a water vapor cooled copper heat pipe on top of the device’s chipset to create an efficient cooling system.
Infrared Face Unlock
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 features a more secure and capable face unlock technology. It uses Infrared scanners instead of its front cameras, this makes it more secure, have higher accuracy even in low-light conditions.
Not really a feature, but this device is the most affordable smartphone with great specs compared to its high end competitors. With is processor, RAM, Liquid Cooling you can’t go wrong with POCO F1.
