Samsung Galaxy S8 will not have dual-camera setup


Samsung hasn’t recovered from the Galaxy Note 7 disaster, and the company is already working to bring its new generation Samsung Galaxy S8 in the market starting early next year.

There are rumors around that the new Samsung Galaxy S8 will not have a dual-camera set up, these leaks came from Weibo Ice Universe. This means that Samsung will use the same camera module on its next-generation flagship device. The leaked reports didn’t reveal the true reason why Samsung will not include the dual-camera set up on its flagship device.

Since Apple introduced the iPhone 7 Plus with dual-camera in September, Samsung was reported to follow in Apple’s lead. Huawei, Xiaomi and LG are already in the process of adapting the dual-camera set up. Dual-lens has a lot of advantages, the Huawei P9 has 12MP camera that can take great monochrome shots and can add boke effect to your photos.

Samsung Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong said that the upcoming Galaxy S8 would have an improved camera, he didn’t mention the specifics though. People are still asking, as why Samsung would not add the dual-camera set up.

Samsung announced that they loose billions of sales after the Galaxy Note 7 incident. They are not facing the pressure to deliver a safe smartphone for early next year.

Other rumors around the Galaxy S8 will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The said device will also have a new home button replacement and will come into two variatns, 5.5 inch and 6.2 inch.

These are all leaks and no confirmation from Samsung itself, as we keeing a close watch on whether the company will go this route or will be able to bring new features to their Samsung Galaxy S8.
